Intro to Sex-Positive Culture

The Intro to Sex-Positive Culture is a mandatory orientation that all potential members must attend before joining and is designed to introduce the broad range of experiences available at the Center for Sex Positive Culture. The orientation provides attendees with a history of Sex-Positive Culture in Seattle and reviews some of the expectations and etiquette expected at our events. Orientations also include a question-and-answer period so that attendees can get any questions answered.

Orientations are generally held every Thursday at 7:00 PM, every Saturday at 6:30 PM, and on the second Friday and the fourth Friday of every month at 7:30 PM. Please check our schedule to verify dates, as orientations are changed or canceled from time to time.

Please note: Orientations are restricted to people with picture ID showing that they are over 18 years old.

Membership Levels

An outline of the costs and benefits of each membership type is listed below by membership level:

• Basic Membership
• Metal Membership
• Gold Membership
• Platinum Membership

Basic Membership

Basic members may attend all of our events by paying the normal attendance fees (typically, $15 to $20). Basic members may bring local guests up to 12 times a year and out of town guests at anytime and they have no other privileges.

A basic membership costs $55.  Renewals are $35 each year during the month you joined.

Guest Policy

All basic members can bring paying non-member guests to any Wet Spot event. The following rules and restrictions apply:

1. Basic members may bring non-member paying guests to our members-only events twelve times per calendar year.

2. Basic members can bring up to two non-member guests per event.

3. Basic members are required to arrive with or before their guests and the guests must depart when the basic member leaves.

4. Basic members are responsible for their guests' behavior and will sign off on the guest release form.

5. Non-member guests of basic members may attend only four events before required to become a Wet Spot member

6. Guests must show valid ID.

After the 12 person limit has been reached our out of town guest policy applies. All basic members can bring out of area guests at any time, however they must notify the director at least 48 hours in advance and send me the guest's full legal name and I'll send a "permission slip" back to the member to print and show the cashier.

It is advised to save your 6 yearly guests for local people and use the out of town guest policy for all other guests.

Metal Membership

Metal members contribute to the Wet Spot on a monthly basis, so they may attend all of our regular night events at no additional charge and they receive a reduction in costs for our special events (like New Years and other Special Events). There are two metal membership levels:

• Gold Membership
• Platinum Membership

Gold Membership

Gold members may bring up to five non-member guests to our members-only events at the normal attendance fees. Gold members may also have up to three free hours of space usage each month on a nonexclusive first-come first-served basis (subject to space availability and cancellation fees).

Gold memberships have a $50 one-time setup fee and cost $75 monthly. The first month's charge will include both the monthly fee and the one-time setup fee, for a total of $125 in the first month. Please note: there is a 10% discount and no setup fee if you choose to pay a year's gold membership in full, so that only costs $810.

Platinum Membership

Platinum members may bring one member or non-member guest to our members-only events at no additional charge, and may also bring up to eight additional non-member guests at the normal attendance fees. Platinum members may also have up to six free hours of space usage each month on a nonexclusive first-come first-served basis (subject to space availability and cancellation fees).

Platinum memberships have a $50 one-time setup fee and cost $150 monthly. The first month's charge will include both the monthly fee and the one-time setup fee, for a total of $200 in the first month. Please note: there is a 10% discount and no setup fee if you choose to pay a year's platinum membership in full, so it only costs $1,620.

Become a Gold or Platinum Lifetime Member

We are offering an opportunity for you to pay one fee and become a Lifetime Metal Member. As a Lifetime Member you will have all the perks of Metal Membership along with a couple of great new perks.

Once you pay your lifetime membership you'll no longer need to pay to attend any of our events at our space, regular or special (this does not include events away from the Center, such as The Seattle Erotic Art Festival, Paradise or Cirque du Noc).

As a Lifetime Member you will also be able to use the new Annex up to two times a year for your own private event (of course it is subject to availability and our usual guidelines around age and alcohol). That means that twice a year you can have a party and invite up to 48 other people at no cost to you for the venue.

A Gold Lifetime Membership costs $8,600 and a Platinum Lifetime Membership costs $17,000 and both memberships can be paid in four quarterly installments in the first year.
