History

The Boulder chapter of the CSPC arose from a couple of efforts to start a sex-positive community center started in the Boulder area. In early 2010, a small board got together and started planning events, organizing the structure of the local chapter, and doing community outreach. The board has grown in the past year, and the chapter has started gaining membership. We try to have at least a couple events per month. We are raising funds for getting a permanent space, and may potentially start renting a temporary space in the near future.

Why Boulder?

While Denver has a few dungeons and swingers clubs, there wasn't anything along those lines before the BCSPC. But the chapter isn't intended to be just for Boulderites. Boulder is fairly accessible from Denver and Northern Colorado, as well as the surrounding towns. We plan to have our permanent space in Boulder county, but perhaps continue have events at various in venues in other cities.

Becoming a Member

To become a member, you must attend an Intro to Sex-Positive Culture new member orientation. We are currently offering one each month, alternating in Denver and Boulder. Check the calendar for upcoming dates and locations. We also offer orientations before our sexy events. Event descriptions will include whether an orientation is required (educational and social events don't require membership). An annual membership costs $35.

Volunteering

We always need volunteers to do outreach and help out at events. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact . We are looking for someone to be our volunteer coordinator. If you are interested in the position, contact the above e-mail for an application! We also have positions open on the board. We have board meetings every first and third Thursday. Advisory Council

We're looking for people with expertise in certain fields of whom we can ask advice. If you're a sex-positive insurance agent, accountant or real estate agent, please e-mail us about getting involved!

Donations

Donations of money are always welcome, but if you can't spare the cash right now, we could also use stuff like snack food for events, decorations, office supplies, furniture, etc.
